Sold. Thank you An Old group of Bodhi wooden prayer beds made from the wood of the Bodhi tree where Buddha received his enlightenment. These beads were purchased in Lhasa many years ago.
Condition: No repairs. Size: 42 cm.
One of 3 pendants worn by bridegroom for wedding by Afganistan / Multan /Pakistan tribal group. The pendant is slightly domed and in very good condition. It is almost 4 inches across and 5.5 inches long including drops. I have hung the pendant on black cord for easy wearing as a necklace...

Provenance: private collection The Netherlands, bought in 1980 from Aalderink in Amsterdam, a major specialist in Asian art. The original invoice comes with this piece.

Sold. Tibetan butterfly-shaped woolen under-saddle rug "Makden", made in two pieces in knotted pile. Backed with purple cotton, edged with red wool fabric and having two not pierced strap holes. Decorated with peony flowers and waves. Condition: clean, full pile only few areas with little wear, backing with a small hole. Dimension: 112 cm x 72 cm.

SOLD Antique Indian two-panel painting of a high-class man and woman in an elaborately furnished setting. They both wear matching orange robes and white pearl necklaces and sit upon gold thrones adorned with flowers. The couple gaze at each other from across the room, each holding a flower bud in their hands. A scenic view of the sun setting beyond a large pond and grassy hills can be seen through the large open window...
Virabhadra, incarnation of Shiva, is often depicted in solid bronze plaques. This one however is remarkably fine, with its delicate openwork. It dates from the 16th century, possibly earlier and was made in West India. It has a warm brown patina and appropriate age wear. There is a very old repair just above the small figure on the left. Height 26 cm (the sculpture), 32 cm including the stand.

Sold to China Vajradhara or Dorje Chang in Tibetan is the ultimate primordial Buddha or Adi Buddha according to the Gelug and Kagyu schools of Tibetan Buddhism. This fine example is from Tibet or possibly from Nepal. It is well proportioned and has very nice facial features. Please note the fine engraving on the back of the figure. It is in a very good condition with normal age wear, a nice patina and remains of polychrome. H. 23 cm. From a Dutch private collection.

Sold. Thank you Two Tibetan bone carvings of dancing Dakinis from a ceremonial bone apron. One Dakini carries a chopper, kapala (skull cup) and a skull scepter; the other holds a kapala in her left hand. Both have large scrolling swirls carved above and below them. The backs have numerous holes for stringing. The bone is probably from a Yak.
Period: 18th/19th Century. Size: 16cm & 17cm. W. Both 4cm. Condition: No repairs. cracks or chips.

SOLD Tibetan bronze gilt statue of Kubera, known as the "Lord of Wealth and the North". He originates from Hindu mythology but is also recognized in Buddhism and Jainism. He holds a mongoose as a symbol of his victory over the Nagas, snakelike deities and guardians over treasures. He sits upon the back of a lionlike creature and has an arch of flames with gilt tips behind him. The jewels on his crown and around his neck are dotted with blue and red enamel.

The front has carvings of two fish (representing the beginning of life)and flower design. The back has a center tree design. There is a silver woven chain attached to the top for carrying.
