In the centre a sculpture of one of the 24 Tirthankaras. The back plate decorated with small sittimg Tirthankaras and attendants. Made in Karnataka or Maharashtra in the 17th or 18th century. Dimensions: 28x17x8,5 cm. Provenance: private collection Belgium.
This Mughal piece was made of a zinc alloy inlaid with flower patterns of silver and brass. A similar huqqa base in the book "Bidri Ware, inlaid metalwork from India" by Susan Stronge is dated in the first half of the 18th century. H. 18 cm. Diameter 16 cm. Very good condition with the inlay intact.

$500.00 This is a remarkable antique Huqqa crafted in the 18th century in India during the Mughal Islamic period. The Huqqa takes the shape of a bell and is made of brass covered with sheet silver. It is meticulously engraved with a beautiful and intricate silver floral pattern that is sure to captivate any admirer.
The base of the Huqqa is stamped with the name of the maker, which adds to its authenticity and historical significance. MEASUREMENTS: Height: 20.5 cm (8 1/8 inches)... Lovely wear and patina. H. 11,5 cm. From a Dutch private collection.

For some time now, in art-historical expert circles, a painting causes concern. Discovered a good ten years ago in Schwarzach im Pongau ( Province of Salzburg ) it shows a boy at the age of about six years. In spite of partly contrary opinion, everything indicates at the moment that the portrayed child represents Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This would, as far as is known, be the earliest image of the composer. The Mozart town Salzburg however, is not only happy about it...

The pendant is decorated with an embossed design of tribal style representing Hindu god Virabhadra standing with his four arms and weapons/attributes, and surrounded by a dotted aureola. Altar dedicated to Hanuman, the Hindu semi-god, carved in openwork relief to represent Hanuman standing with a martial attitude, carrying a club in his left hand and an uprooted tree in his right hand, and trampling a supine figure, probably a demon. Marble, with traces of red pigments. India, 18th century. Height: 13.7 cm. Abrasion due to age, otherwise very good condition.

A small Indian deity cast in bronze with a high copper content, depicting an athletic male deity sitting on a lotus throne holding his hands in anjali mudra and holding a kind of hack. Condition: signs of worshipping, base slightly bent, one underarm with a crack. Dimension: 6.5 cm high.
