SOLD This is a large amulet with two holes for suspension and was most probably used as a chest piece (pectoral). The polish is so spectacularly well done that the piece feels as smooth as silk when held. The large central hole gently tapers on both sides. It measures a full 4" in length and is 2-1/2" in height. Roughly 1/8" thick. In color a varied green nephrite with a minimal residue of the polishing material remaining on the surface.

$1,195.00 This is an example of a well-known type of Neolithic jade ornament from the Hongshan culture. The piece is of a pale green nephrite with brown inclusions and some minor calcification. It measures 2-3/4" in height and is 1-3/4" at the widest point. The piece has an exceptionally smooth, polished feel and is almost paper thin. There are, of course, no traces of any metal tools having been used and the piece has the characteristic tapering to the holes...

This very attractive porcelain bowl was made during the second half of the 16th century, c.1570 - 1590. The outer wall is very nicely decorated in underglaze blue, the pattern featuring a bird within a floral landscape. A flower blossom within two rings decorates the inside centre. This attractive porcelain bowl was made during the Kangxi reign (1662 - 1722) of the Qing Dynasty. It is made from a particularly translucent porcelain and decorated with a geometric band and flower sprays in underglaze blue as well as green, red, black and yellow enamels and gilding. $550.00 Cast bronze vase decorated with three handles in the form of masks of mythological creatures, carrying a trunk and large ears probably inspired by an elephant. The cast work is beautiful and the finish is neat. On the lower and upper edges, two very elegant Greek friezes are discreetly and finely incised in silver. The edge of the vase is slightly split, but you can still put water in it. A nice original patina confirms the age of the object, probably 19th century or earlier...

$1,500.00 Pair of cast bronze incense holders. The lower part is a tripod composed of 3 dragon heads. The upper part is a lotus leaf and 3 buds. In the center of the sheet is welded a hollow rod that can contain an incense stick. The cast bronze has defects. A beautiful old patina attests to a great age of several centuries. A broken foot is reattached. A label bears the number 37 without any other reference, but we do not know which collection it is.
