The inside of the well/bowl also depicts the fungus motif. This item was excavated legally from a shipwreck and guaranteed authentic from the MING period...

Fine Ming Dynasty “sancai” pottery bed, in pristine condition, with subtle but discernable paraffin patina, consistent with an “of the period” piece. This has simple classic lines emblematic of Ming furniture. There are 4 holes in the floor of the bed originally intended to support a cloth canopy. Widths: 32cm/12.5in x 19.8cm/7.9in and height: 17cm/6.9in.

There are two repairs: appears to have been cut in half and then glued back together and there is one on repair at the top of the roof façade- all noted in last enlargements. H: 47cm18.5in and W: 35.5/13.9in x 20cm/8in.

Ming Dynasty ceramic wedding booth. Traditionally in China, a woman was carried in a covered wedding sedan chair by bearers accompanied by musicians. This piece has a detachable roof, replicating a draped cloth and is in good condition- only a few minor glaze frits. Would make an excellent display stand for a small Buddha. H: 35cm/13.8in and 12.5cm/4.8in.

A superior example of a Ming Dynasty blue and white Swatow porcelain plate which dates from the Wanli Reign (1573 - 1619). It has a thick crackled glaze and the center medallion is hand painted with a rare crossed double phoenix motif (male and female) and nicely surrounded by foliage, a large peony and other flowers. This stunning ensemble is surrounded by 5 very attractive border panels. As this is a shipwreck dish there is no question as to it's authenticity...

A MING SWATOW (ca. 1625) Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Plate with thick, shiny glaze, depicting a Phoenix in the center medallion surrounded by a border featuring auspicious symbols. The back side of the plate also has some decor. There are a few firing imperfections (unglazed well/spots) as shown in the photograph and some kiln sand/grit deposit on the back base of the plate, which is common in Ming ware and a sign of authenticity. Very good condition, no cracks, hairlines nor restorations...

A late Ming Dynasty Swatow Bowl, polychrome enamels (iron red, turquoise, green and black). Faded iron red band/decor just below inner top ring and double ring around inside medallion. Lingzhi with central decoration. Underglazed symbolic mark. Condition: good except somewhat faded enamels and hardly visible nicks on top and bottom rim, no hairlines nor repairs. Size: H. 7cm x 13cm diameter
