Two lids decorated in Famille rose colours in the Canton Famille rose or Rose Medallion style. Early 19th century, both with gilt berry handles. One lid is for a large vase or a soup bowl, ecuelle, and the smaller for a cup. Outer diameter of the rims that have to fit into another vessel is "2½/ 6,4 cm and "5½/ 13,7 cm respectively. Condition: repairs and a nick (cf pics).

Canton Famille rose / Rose Medallion urn lid with Foo dog handle, mid 19th century. Height (handle not included) "2½/ 6,5 cm. Outer diameter of the rim that has to fit into an urn or vase is "3½/ 8,8 cm. Condition: glaze chips around the lower edge of the decoration (cf pics).

Rare carnelian bowl with a beautiful deep orange-yellow. The typical Chinese shape is classic, and the capacity is that of a tea bowl. The grinding work is meticulous, the shape is perfect, the Agate has an excellent color which shows shades of color ranging from yellow to orange through transparency. Difficult to date with precision but all these quality criteria seem to indicate a creation from the Qing period. Excellent condition except micro scratches invisible without magnifying glass...

A lidded container in a divided, compressed form of finely, carved bamboo root. Good luck bringing Bats (bianfu) carved in relief decorate the sides and lid. Bottom with a la grec pattern. Mid Qing, around 1800. H 10 cm, W 8.2 cm. Condition: Very good. Traces of wear. One short crack on the middle part of the bottom panel filled.

Carved bamboo statuette representing Shou Lao, Chinese god of longevity. The god is represented standing, holding a peach in one hand and a stick ending in a mushroom Ling-zhi in the other, all the attributes of long life. The carving is precise, as can be judged by the regular parallelism of the hairs of the beard. The sculpture is elegant, the movements of the dress are harmonious and the finishes are of good quality. The bamboo has a nice old patina...

A rare carved bone abacus with integral reverse glass painting depicting four boys, in a garden setting, peering into a large fish bowl. There is an added inscritpion carved into one side recording that this item was given as a gift in Hong Kong in 1953. Condition; very good - no damages or losses. 11.5cm (4.5 inches) long; 5.5cm (2.2 inches) wide; 1.5cm deep.

Lovely Qing Dynasty pendant of a monkey on a leaf, “staring at the moon”, carved from carnelian. An unusually fat piece with a rich dark color rarely seen in Chinese carnelian. L: 4.7cm/1.8in and W: 3.5cm/1.4in. There is one small chip on the back of the hole noted in 2nd enlargement. Included is an adjustable macramé cord, and free shipping via Hong Registered Airmail.

An attractive wooden table screen with a carved and painted scene of a saint on a horse with three attendants. China. 19th century. Dimensions: H. 40 cm, W. 27 cm. Condition: original polychrome, some age cracks and shrinkage, the left leg slides off, the right one now stuck.

DESCRIPTION: A good Chinese scholar’s brushpot, carved in deep relief with a continuous mountain landscape scene framed by gnarled pine trees and depicting two groups of scholars, some examining a scroll and others in a boat. The base and rim are encased in hardwood and the pot is engraved with a two line inscription. Very good condition, latter Qing Dynasty, 19th to early 20th C. DIMENSIONS: 6 ½” high (16.5 cm) x 6” diameter (15.2 cm).

A small finely carved hardwood panel, with gold lacquered border, depicting a Scholar on a bridge in a mountain landscape and encased in a silver wire inlaid frame. The panel and frame were made during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - the frame has been crudely re-glued and would benefit from restoration； the panel itself is in excellent condition with no damages or losses. Cute porcelain snuff bottle delicately carved in the shape of a smiling man sitting atop a pile of leaves, wearing a blue robe with gold flecks and creases and magenta bottoms, holding a peach, with a gourd bottle strapped around his back. The topper is carved from coral and resembles the cap of the gourd bottle. 19th century Size: 2.5" tall, .85" wide

Carved wooden cup representing large lotus leaves and buds on which evolve a crab and a shrimp. The feet are made up of snails. Although the carving work is of excellent quality, the wood used is not purple sandalwood. Part of the edge has been broken as shown in the photo, but this does not affect the aesthetics of the object. In addition, restoration work is possible with a perfect result. The sculpture is of excellent quality. The Kouanyin is represented seated in a position of royal relaxation. Very heavy wood is covered with several coats of paint. The details are finely incised but are almost all covered by the paintings. The hand was made apart. The expression of the face is calm, attentive and benevolent. The movement of the fabrics is elegant.Traces of textiles.Yuan style but I am not able to certify the authenticity because there are so many copies...

Probably Tibet. Miniature Buddha in cast bronze gilded with the mercury technique. Under the base curiously we can see a Vajra cast in relief. The sculpture is simple rustic, the details are little or not chiseled, however the gilding is of the best quality, very thick and tends to flake.Traces of pigment on hairs and eyes. The style of the base with elephant and Buddhist Lions in front and crosses at the back, makes me think of the 15th century style. No restaurations...
