Very rare dropper in lost wax cast bronze representing an adorable little owl. The cast and chisel are perfect and the scraper finish is very neat. Slight cast iron defect below. The object plunges into the water and fills up through the beak and ears. The output of the drops is perfect. One by one as needed. Well thought out object is perfectly executed. Antique wedding blanket, circa late 19th CE/early 20th CE, from the Bouyi/Buyi (possibly Zhuang) China. This is tightly woven in three panels, from very fine handspun cotton thread with a silk floss yarn supplementary weft “well” pattern. The black cotton lattice gives the overall pattern depth. The wide woven-in border has a “wanzi” swastika meander pattern that seamlessly transitions from the black cotton to silk pastel...

Antique Chinese porcelain water coupe in the form of a pine branch. Whimsically sculpted with a gibbon hanging from it's handle. Glazed a lovely mauve color on the outside and a white glaze inside. Underside has Wang Bing Rong mark in a raised cartouche. Wang Bing Rong (1840-1900) specialized in carved decoration on porcelain and was active during the Tongzhi to Gunagxu Period.

Antique Chinese porcelain brush washer in the form of an opening lotus blossom. On one side is a pair of bats and on the other lingzhi mushrooms. Delicately carved and glazed white with brown, orange and gold over painting. Very subtle purple and green high lights on the tips of the lotus petals. Sits on a hardwood stand intricately carved with more bats and lingzhi. Daoguang Period (1821-1850)

Antique Chinese small blue and white glazed porcelain ink cake container. The lid is domed and decorated with a lively five-clawed dragon floating in a sky with wisps of clouds and the flaming jewel. The bottom portion of the container is also decorated with a wave-like pattern and a Qianlong mark. Inside are still the colorful ink remnants from it's previous scholarly owner.

Antique Chinese porcelain brush washer. Semi-conical form with doucai decoration of swirling clouds. Very fine lines with subtle overglaze colors on a white ground. The doucai technique allows for controlled details and vibrant colors as the outlines are first painted on as a blue underglaze and then fired. After this step, the colors are applied using lovely enamel overglazes and the object is fired again at a lower temperature...

Late 19th century zitan chair featuring a serpentine top rail above an open back with a square tablet incised with two archaic vases on a stand within scrolls over a cleated seat on square legs and stretchers. Wear consistent with age and use. Very good condition. Measures 21.5ʺW × 16.5ʺD × 40.5ʺH
