$300.00 Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907 A.D.) brown glazed wine jar with cup decorated around the rim with two stylized opposing dragons. The cup rests upside down over the circular opening on top. The jar measures about 8 1/4" high to the top of the dragons. The cup is nearly 3” diameter. Very good overall condition with wear and glaze degradation consistent with its age and use. Significant burial dirt is adhering. There is a small old triangular-shaped repair to the edge of the cup...

sold In Japan Muromachi period 15th century, tea master Juko Murata had been putting forward "wabi-cha" that has become the mainstream of tea ceremony afterwards. And then he had the idea that wabi-cha should have noble mood hidden inside though it seemed coarse at glimpse. He had changed the tea ceremony in Chinese style to Japanese-like style.
He picked up a coarse celadon tea cup made in Song dynasty.
He thought it was suitable for wabi-cha...

It is fairly "heavily-potted" and coated in a transparent pale celadon glaze, save for the foot that remains unglazed. The inner surface is decorated with incised floral patterns. SOLD Ancient Chinese tomb pottery figure of a horse and rider. Made of gray clay and painted with polychrome slip pigment. The figure is clothed in flowing robes and a hat that covers his ears. Facial details on both the figure and the horse are wonderfully well preserved.

Conservatoire Sakura
solded Buddha in very heavy cast bronze. Never been gilded. Very nice natural brown patina. Very well known model of the Kien-long period, which usually are gilded and marked with the reign and sometimes dated and which are always in embossed copper (see an example in my collection n°10). The one presented here is in cast bronze.
Good condition, some minor wear and shocks, no restoration.
