A very elegant and well carved sculpture of the Bodhisattva Guanyin, goddess of mercy. Made of Zitan, one of the rarest hardwoods in China. H. 26 cm. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. We bought this piece from a Dutch private collection.

Large Qing dynasty slightly tapered cylindrical form white porcelain brush pot (bitong) with a central cobalt blue band holding bats flying among clouds. The white porcelain has a faint blue-green-gray tint. 19th century. 6 1/2” high x 8” diameter. Very good overall condition with a few old browned hairlines on the base which appear to have resulted when a drain hole was added...

Charming Chinese acrobat in a handstand atop a natural rootwood base. The acrobat is hand carved out of boxwood. He wears shorts tied at the waist and a pair boots. His hair is tied back and he has a goatee. Very finely carved. It is from the Ching Dynasty, 19th century. It measures 27 tall, about 18" wide at the base. Excellent original condition.

Archaic Chinese large white jade with orange and brown areas, carved with geometric designs in the form of a large bird and a small dragon. Size: 8.25" L, 4" W

Antique Chinese large inkstone with gold lacquer dragons and calligraphy writing. The side is inscribed with a signature. Early 20th century. Size: 9" H x 4" W

Framed. The plaque painted with various birds perched and flying among flowering prunus, with inscription and two seals. The plaque approx. 19 1/4 by 6 1/8 in., 49 by 15.7 cm. No imperfections noted.

Chinese Elmwood small square shape table, late 19th c., 11" high, 12 1/2" square on top, with pegged round straight legs. There is a narrow piece of wood wedged between original Elmwood top and the uneven finish which is original, it is a solid table, shows some wears, original wood color top.

A large, hardwood (possible Huanghuali) Chinese antique altar cabinet with brass handles and other hardware, side panels with carvings of reticulated flowers, long underside panel carved with similar floral motif, large open interior space for storage, beautiful wood grain. Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain Vase, Qianlong period 1736-1795, 10" high, 4 1/2" wide-maximum width, 1 5/8" diameter for top rim, with four(4) attached red Squirrels around neck area(chips on 2 squirrel's mouth), high relief vines and flowers on both sides, enclosed within two(2) panels of overglaze enamel design of floral bouquets and bugs inside two(2) panels, highlighted in gold, some berries have glaze chips. All the vines, berries are attached on the main body of the vase...

Another highlight of our family collection: Rather large Chinese Kinuta Seiji Celadon Vase for Japanese Tea Ceremony. Classical mallet (kinuta) shaped celadon vase in the style of the longquan kilns of the 13th century. The celadon glaze is applied very thickly and the vase may have been glazed and fired more than one time. Some fine aesthetic hairlines complete its beautiful expression.

The execution of the foot rim and the texture of the clay matches the Chinese original...

Antique Chinese large cabinet. Beautifully lacquered with scenes of birds and flowers in gold on a red lacquer ground. Large doors open to reveal a compartment with two shelves. The top shelf has two small built in drawers. The sides of the cabinet are lacquered black. Dates from the 18th century. Size: 70 1/4" high x 44" wide x 20 1/4" deep.

Nicely carved statue of a fisherman standing on a rock, his face showing a large smile, holding a cane on which two fish are attached in his right hand, and his beard in his left hand. Bi-colored steatite. China, early 20th century. Height: 20 cm. Very tiny chips, otherwise very good condition. Provenance: old French collection. A genuine Guangxu Da Ya Zhai Porcelain Turquoise Bowl (1875-1908) with period markings and a lobed rim. Size: H. 3.5" x 8" top diameter and 3" bottom diameter. Condition: Has a hairline and the rim is broken in one spot which has been glued and a small hole which needs filling (see photographs). Needs a specialist to restore the bowl expertly. A large and heavy Chinese cloisonne bowl with gilt rims and wire, enameled at least with nine different colors. Decorated with flower medallions and clouds, the interior with bats around a "shou" character. The outer rim with a ruyi head border. Base with maybe later turquoise contre-email and a Chinese character. Please compare with a similar bowl in the Royal Museum of Edinburgh. Dimension: diameter: 20.7 cm, 9.1 cm high. Three(3) Chinese Export Porcelain Rose Mandarin Demitasse Cups and three(3) Export Porcelain Rose Medallion Demitasse size Saucers, Ca. cups-1830-1840, saucers-1860's, both designs are typical Roses and Mandarin figures in the garden. They are not set but will go together, they were made in different times. Saucers have couple hairline cracks and one of saucer has chips on the bottom rim, cups are in fine condition and large Mandarin figures are all around outside the cup.

Up for sale is a pair of Chinese robe's sleeve bands, very intricate embroidery executed in forbidden stitch or seed stitch. Measurement : 7 in x 38 in; Excellent condition, vibrant colors, no tear.
