Poutaï in porcelain enamelled mainly in yellow, details in blue, green, pink, white and gold enamels. The deity is represented seated, relaxed as usual. The jovial expression is well treated. The subject was executed in large quantities but the one we present here today is more interesting than usual because its yellow color is particularly appreciated in China, its expression is beautiful and it is in perfect condition...

Covered vase in nuanced ocher jade, decorated in relief with a grinding wheel with Taotie masks. Very good quality of sculpture. The stone is probably fire-patinated to imitate the color of archaic jade as was usually the case in the Ming Dynasty. It is impossible for me to date such an object. It is old, probably from the 18th century but could be earlier. Good condition, except for a few dents on the lid that can be seen on an enlarged photo. Height: 12cm.

Chinese Laughing Buddha statue holding a large coin on a gold ignot. Hand painted with red, black, and gold lacquers, he retains much of his original paint. Dates circa 1900. Measures 34" high.

Large early Republic Chinese cloisonne lidded box on stand that could have graced a scholar’s desk. On each side is a 5 toed Imperial yellow dragon with the dragon on the lid chasing the flaming pearl of wisdom; all against a dark sky blue ground, the contrasting yellow stand really makes this piece stand out. The metal and wires are bronze gilt over copper. In excellent condition it measures 13.5" wide x 7" deep x 8.75" high

Gorgeous Chinese coat made all of silk with silk embroidered design of blue and white peonies, chrysanthemums and butterflies on an orange silk ground, pattern of waves and rocks along hem, sleeves of white silk embroidered with more flowers and butterflies, forbidden stitch (see detail photo), ribbon applique on sleeves and neck, lined in light blue silk, minor spots and fraying on sleeves, c. 1900. Chinese pottery figure of a horse in 2 pieces, made of red clay with slip painted pigments in white and red, wonderful form, still has great painted details, Han Dynasty (206 BC to AD 220). Size: 17 1/4" high x 22" long x 7" wide

A beautiful and very functional pair of black lacquer wooden cabinets with detailed court scenes. The cabinets can be stacked as pictured or positioned separately and perhaps placed under windows. As separately standing pieces, they can be used for extra seating with the simple addition of a few throw pillows or cushions. They can also be positioned back to back to serve as a large coffee table. The cabinets’ interiors are painted red and there is a red flower painted on each side...

Lovely Chinese antique half round table, made of hard huali wood with thick piece of white marble on top, very elegant lines, late 19th century. Size: 34" high x 32 3/4" wide x 16 1/4" deep.

The glass snuff bottle shows the four sea-dragons swimming in the sea. This probably represent the four seas.Each of the dragon have four claws which represents royalty but not imperial. The colour of the snuff bottle is of dark orange colour. The base has a honorific Qianlong mark to the base. Cir. late 19th century, likely to be dated to the Guangxu (1875-1908) period.

Antique Chinese tall side table, inset on top with marble, ornately carved hardwood with designs of scrolling vines, branches with fruit, monstrous bat like faces, and claw feet, minor losses to carving, Republic Period. Size: 32" high x 21" wide (17" wide on top surface).

A sitting bronze figure was nicely cast.
Being depicted as a scholar with flouring robe and a official hat, the figure was in casual mood by resting his arm to the stool beside him.
It was perfectly preserved with nice darken patina.

Antique Chinese tall wardrobe cabinet, made all of jumu (elm) wood with very beautiful grain, middle bar has been attached to door so that the cabinet opens with clear access to interior, inside has one shelf with two small drawers of jumu wood finished on the front to match the exterior of cabinet, bottom has one large drop in panel that locks with key, 19th century. Size: 78 1/2" high x 42 3/4" wide x 21" deep.

A finely done Chinese hardwood box with burlwood square inlaid sections on the side. The box inside is covered with a fabric cushioned interior and partitioned to put small objects inside.

The view is surrounded by Chinese patterns with various auspicious objects often representing fortune or wealth. The neck of the vase contains a view of chrysanthemums and bamboo. Age 18th century.
