Chinese hardwood coffer cabinet, with relief carvings throughout of floral motifs with pigments. The front of the cabinet holds three drawers, opened by brass pulls. The sides and apron of the cabinet are carved with openwork foliate scrolls.

Chinese Carving candle holder attendant, mounted on a gilt bronze French ormolu base. The heavenly attendant has original polychrome pigments of red, green, brown and beige and holds a long staff connected to the brass candleholder.

A very rare Chinese Nanmu scholar's table chest. Nanmu wood has been used in China since the Han dynasty and is very prized by collectors as it is difficult to find. I feel that it is rarer than huanghuali. I have only come across one Nanmu scholar's chest in all the years that I have been collecting. Size: L.34cm. W.17cm. H.6cm. Age: Mid Qing or earlier. 19th Century Chinese Natural large carved Rock Crystal Guan Yin figure, Ca. mid 1800's, 9 1/2" high, 3 1/2" wide-widest part, 2 1/4" thick, carved out of one large Rock Crystal, almost clear and good quality, well polished without infusions on her face, hands and feet. Only rough area with some infusions are on the upper head in the back which is not well polished, shows darker brown tiny spots in the stone...

Framed pair of Chinese Imperial Kesi 5 claws gold threads dragon fragments, Qianglong Period. These pieces are fully decorated, blue ground five claws dragon with 卐 "Wan" characters, Lingzhi shaped clouds and cross shaped floral patterns. Both Dragons are gazing to their own firing pearl. These pair are probably made for the shoulders part of a dragon robe. Dimensions: 32 x 23 cm each without frame, 92 x 46 cm with frame...

Framed Chinese 18th century imperial blue ground gold dragon kesi fragment. This twisted gold dragon is surrounded by five color lingzhi shaped clouds. Dragon robes for the emperor contain nine dragons on them and this fragment pretty much sure is the front badge because of the empty space at the upper left corner where is to reserve for the edge to do extra work and decoration to sew buttons to the side of the robe...

The body of this Chinese porcelain brush pot is carved with Chilong against a background of scrolling lotus plants and linghi fungus under a hatched rim-border; the glaze is tinged with soft blue celadon with the rim being slightly off-white; the internal glaze also has a celadon tint as does the countersunk centre of the unglazed base; shows scuffing wear to the interior and base and minor scratches externally; very good condition; ...

A pair large Chinese silk kesi tapestries, once mounted as hanging scrolls with silk brocade border and backed with paper. Showing immortals and gods of the Daoist Pantheon in a landscape setting. Made of a two colour silk tapestry with painted areas. Dating to the late Qing dynasty. Condition: please look at the photos carefully - they make part of the condition report - the brtittle mounting is damaged and only partially preserved, the wooden bars of the top and one of the bottom are lost...

A bronze figure depicting the City God, (Chinese: Cheng Huang). Cold gilding and rest of coulors. The City God is one of the important Gods of Daoism, he is a kind of guardian deity of the City, a heavenly magistrate responsible for the protection of the territory, the safety and prosperity of the locality. Temples dedicated to Chenghuang were built allover China and annual processions of the God were carried out. Ming Dynasty. H. 29 cm. Condition: Very good, just some wear to gilt.

Fine Chinese Kangxi Period underglaze blue and white porcelain vase; very detailed depictions of florals, rock work, birds and insects; double ring mark at the base; good condition

Two characters with bird beaks serving as incense holders. They are in sandstone covered with lead glassures of three colors (sancai), yellow, green and manganese, these models also have a part enamelled in white. Models with animal masks are much rarer than those with human faces and probably represent the animals of the zodiac. Good condition, almost not worn, a broken and glued head visible on photos. The glassure is finely cracked. Height: 325mm. Chinese work probably 17°, but maybe before.

Fine Large Chinese Neolithic Banshan Painted Pottery Jar

This impressive pottery jar was, incredibly, made around 4,500 years ago during the Banshan Phase (c. 2600 - 2300 BC) of the Majiayao culture, also known as the Gansu-Yangshao culture, from present day Gansu or Qinghai province.
