SOLD Chinese 4th Rank Court Official's silk badge of a wild goose. The background is black silk and is embroidered with very fine metal threads. The sun and its tendrils are silver foiled threads tacked down with red silk threads. The flowers are also silver but tacked down with green silk threads. The flowers appear to be white chrysanthemums, a symbol of nobility, elegance, and longevity. Each flower encompasses a display blue forbidden stitch knots to create the effect of pollen being dispersed...

The backside is ornately hand-embroidered with auspicious objects and symbols within flaming rings. The central image is a large yin-yang outlined by gold embroidered scrolls. Dimensions : 58" L x 47" H The ground fabric of this man's garment is a light, greyish silk damask with stylized endless knot pattern. The front overlap closing is fastened with five pierced gilt metal ball buttons. Trimmed with black silk and a woven border, the straight sleeves with light blue cuffs showing the same pattern like the ground fabric...

$575.00 This soft pale pink colored antique Chinese silk skirt is from the late 1800's. The traditional floral embroidery is mainly uses satin stitch technique with the large flower in the center of the front and rear panels use Peking knots.
In over all excellent condition but the two panel have been stitched together and the waist band has been shortened to accommodate the adjustment. Also the lining has been removed.....
This 19th Century traditional Han Chinese robe would have been used for winter wear. It uses dark black satin weave silk fabric, and has very wide cuffs with floral embroidery and the shape is trimmed out with a floral silk ribbon. The coat has its original buttons and fabric loop closures...and has original lining.

The skirt easily wraps around the hips so that the flat sections were displayed at at the front and back....the pleated sections hang at draped the sides.....

$550.00 Antique Chinese framed blue silk embroidery which appear to be sleeve bands that are stitched together. The textile is decorated with two phoenix, two dragons, and Chinese seal script. All are hand applied using gold gilt wrapped threads. In excellent condition, measures 27" x 15" including frame. The silk measures 21.5" x 10". Dates circa 1900.
Chinese late Qing to early Republic period lady’s robe embroidered in polychrome silk and gold couched thread on a black silk ground. Eight gilt dragon and phoenix bird roundels are on the front, back, and shoulders. The bottom of the robe is gilt decorated in the traditional pattern of waves, stylized mountains, and diagonal bands of upright water (li shui) permeated with auspicious symbols. Black silk decorative borders accent the front opening, side slits, and neck...

$450.00 An unusual pair of hand embroidered Chinese silk pouches with auspicious symbols. The color contrast is stunning, each has its original silk tassels. These pouches also have their original drawstrings yet intact. These pouches may have been used for eyeglasses and /or general use. In excellent condition with only minimal fading, which is remarkable considering their age, the pouches measure 6" (15.2 cm) long. The tassels measure 5" (12.7 cm).

Sold. Thank you. Vest made of tiny bamboo beads and all hand-strung with cotton threads. It was worn till early 20th century (Quin Dynasty) as an underwear of silk garments, especially in the southern China or neighboring countries. It made a wearer keep cool and avoid the outer garment wetting by sweat. Generally in good condition but almost 30 beads are missing. 19th to early 20th century. 48cm x 52cm

Two gilt of the 7/9th ranks.
Chinese Qing 1644-1911.
Height of clear finial; 4 1/8" (10.3 cm).
Condition; minor faults, slight corrosion to small gilt finial.
A pair of tiny shoes for a Han Chinese lady with bound feet, dating to the late Qing dynasty. Made of silk, the lower part embroidered with flowers in satin stitch, the upper part with brocaded silk ribbons. Cotton lining and soles. Condition: fine, only little wear. Dimension: total length: c. 13.5 cm, height: c. 11.8 cm.

$350.00 Antique Chinese skirt with green velvet panels embroidered with images of flowers and bats. It is very unusual to find these skirts with velvet panels. Measuring 39 inches long, it is in
good used condition. There is some staining (water marks?)on silk areas, embroidered velvet panels in very good condition with the exception of one tear about 3" that can be easily repaired. Wear at hem border ribbon.
A late Qing ladies skirt in a striking color combination with two marvellous embroidered panels with butterflies and flowers. H. 100 cm, W. 110 cm. Age wear two the black borders and wear and stains on the inside of the skirt. The purple silk and the embroidery is in perfect condition.
