This is an intact and very fine example of this ware which, to me, seems to incorporate a human torso, standing with arms and legs akimbo. The colors are quite vivid, with an aubergine purple in addition to the black outlining. The piece is well and thinly potted, standing some 7" in height.It swells out to some 7" in diameter, measured across the area of the two rings ("lugs").

A very nice, decorative and rare Fahua Ware hoop pended pot with three coloured Scroll Pattern. Ming Dynasty, 15th century. H: 23,2 cm. Diameter: 21,8 cm. Condition: Very nice original condition. Extraordinary well preserved, glossy glaze. On two places there is a glaze split off ( please look the images ) which most probably did happen during the burning of the jar or shortly later - in any case hundreds of years ago...

Two green glazed Shekwan / Shiwan jars, probably late 19th century. Both with molded decoration of flower sprigs and a ruyi border. Antique Chinese Yixing snuff bottle of fine porous unglazed body of 'purple clay'. It's front side a landscape scene in white slip and back side with a prunus floral design, sides with pierced handles. Red agate and bronze ring cap cover. Good condition with impressed seal on inset bottom.

In Changsha kiln, undergalze painted works are created Tang Dynasty 9th century world first.And also it is known that many of them are painted by iron and copper as coloring agent. So they are very variable, This ball was refloated from Chinese wrecked ship at Java offshore. The peeling off of glaze are recognized at several parts on the edge, and no repair or no re-burned. A beautiful authentic Western Han pottery cocoon jar in the shape of a silkworm cocoon. A pair of nicely formed hollow glazed pottery birds. Both have round plump figures and lots of character. The darker bird has two glazes - a brown splash of glaze that runs over a straw glaze. The lighter bird has a celadon colored glaze. The glaze on both birds have a very fine crackle.
