sold This piece is very rare as the master made few pieces. It was laid at the bottom of anagama kiln for 10 days, so its patterns were made by natural ashes over it. Originally shikigawara is tea ceremony utensil, it is usually used as tile to be put on with stove. The natural pattern is very beautiful so it may be interesting if it would be used as ornament or plate for food or flower arrangement.
