The two side handles are a pair of parental Komainu (aka Fu Dogs) with their four offspring acting as feet to support the hibachi. Along the shoulder are flying Phoenix birds with their tails trailing behind. The neck of the hibachi has a reticulated geometric design not often seen in bronze hibachi design.
