Ming jar with blue underglaze chrysanthemum pattern in good condition, there are some glaze blemishes from firing noted in 2nd enlargement. Very nice shape. This was fired in Guangdong Province - locally, this type is referred to as a “gunpowder” jar although, I don’t know if this was it what it was really used for. H: 15cm/5.9in and D: 18.5cm/7.2in.

sold, thank you Muted gold glimmers softly on the outside of this Te-Oke shaped water container by Hattori Shunsho enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Mizusashi, Tsuki no Umi (Moon on the sea). The top of the box is covered in a design of inlayed mother of pearl rippling over a glistening gold orb like the moon reflecting off of water. It is 22.5 cm (9 inches) diameter, 24 cm (9-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition.

Stunning stone wall rubbing of the Chinese God of Wealth Caishen 財神 aka Zhao Gongming趙公元帥 . Circa Qing Dynasty. Riding astride a a magnificent tiger he carries a sword and small scepter.
