Price on Request A very rare and unusual lotus form bowl on three lotus bud and seed pod feet very finely painted to the interior with vibrant Famille Rose enamels depicting bats and lotus amongst multiple sylized flower scrolls on a turquoise ground.
This item was made in China during the reign of the Jiaqing Emperor (1796-1820) or late in the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795).
Condition: excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - June 2018 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2018年6月 A Chinese porcelain snuff bottle, attractively painted in underglaze blue and red , with a Ming dynasty style scene depicting many boys at play.The green stone stopper has an ivory spatula. The cyclically dated iron red inscription can be translated as "Year of Ding Wei (1907 or possibly 1847), for my snuff taking 'elder brother's' appreciation; presented by your snuff taking 'younger brother' Ya Quan.

Story illustrates Dung Fang Shuo, the daoist sage, and auspicious symbols carrying the peach of immortality, with the bat of longevity flying overhead. Two seals are displayed. First seal reading, "Li Guang Jin yin", second seal is the studio seal. Artist's name is Li, Guang Jin from the studio Fu Qing.

SOLD Japanese antique cha tansu (tea chest), made with beautiful keyaki (elm) wood burl on panels, top 2 sliding panels are made of a lighter color hardwood burl, all panels are trimmed in persimmon wood. One drop in panel with an interesting walnut shaped pull. The chest has a total of 7 drawers of different sizes. Glass sliding panels cover a compartment with stepped shelves for display. Copper slider pulls have little dragons. Meiji Period.
