The Chinese porcelain dish has a border of two repeating elements, a garlanded ruyi and three interlinked rings. The centre of the dish depicts a Chinese landscape with two scholars approaching a solitary angler. Antique fish sculpture, made from silver, with a fully articulated body, allowing wonderful lifelike movement. The forehead bears a symbol of two fish swimming closely in a yin yang formation. Its mouth is slightly open, almost smiling. Each of its scales has been embossed with intricate designs. A four character Chinese manufacturer's mark can be seen underneath the chin. Unusual large pair of antique giboshi (bridge finials). Made of bronze mixed with a substantial amount of copper. This can be seen in areas of where people's hands have rubbed back the finish.
