Antique Tibetan carved wooden phurba, a ritualistic Vajrayana Buddhist implement, depicting Nagas or snakes on the blade. Nagas are the entities in nature that associated with illnesses. The entwining serpents are a symbol of medicine and healing. The deity handle, mirroring the three-edges of the blade has three deity faces. Typically, one might be wrathful, one peaceful and one joyful representing Body, Speech and Mind.

A rare Pyu carved calcedony tiger with its 4 paws, upper back, and tail in carnelian red (presence of iron oxides in the stone). The body of the tiger is elongated with a curled up tail. Tigers of this type and age are difficult to find, especially ones that are intact...

A nicely carved Pyu green fluorite micro elephant. It is unusual to find a fluorite carving this small. Condition: No repairs. It looks like in drilling the hole a small piece of one of the tusks was lost but still a nice piece. Size: See Last photo.

Two rare well carved Pyu stone elephants. These are a type of micro carvings that the Pyu period is noted for. There are holes drilled in both of the elephants for stringing. Size: See last photo. Condition: No repairs or chips. Some encrustation still adhering to them from long burial that can be removed by soaking.

The suspension area and the closing mechanism with Singa head, the wide end with a wooden stopper. The gunpowder was stored in the Batak house in large gourds, the chief carried his own personal supply in such containers like this one, which he wore suspended from a chain around his neck...
