Sold Description:
A wood panel depicting the flying Apsaras was in good condition. Obviously a part of building structures, this ancient wood carving of the Apsaras was well rendered in animated posture. The wood texture was revealed by enduring age. Date: 13th/14th century. Provenance: Nepal. Dimensions: 41.5cm x 25cm x 13cm. An interesting carved wooden Chinese panel utilizing scrolling vines with motif of flowers. Traces of blue, white, green, and red pigments and detailed painting can be found different areas of the carving. Age: 19th Century. Size: Height: 15.75" Width: 2.5" Length: 49.5"

On Hold A richly patinated carved wood figure of a seated drum playing musician. This item was made in Bali, circa 1900-1940, during the first half of the 20th Century. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the head-dress (please view enlargement 11) - no further damage and no repairs. 18cm (7 inches) wide; 32cm (12.5 inches) high.
