A Very Rare Korean Goguryeo-高句麗-BC37-AD668) Roof End Tile-5th-6th C.: Korea, Goguryo (高句麗-BC37-AD668) dynasty (one of 3 King Domes), made in 5th -6th century. The circular tile is unusually thick and heavy, finely molded with a symbol of flower head surround by stylish sharp lotus, and traces white likely cement on surfaces. It is in very good condition with metals patinated. It measures 36cm with in a sheath, or 34cm only dagger.

A religious temple painting of a yellow buddha surrounded by 10 deity attendants. Seated atop a lotus throne, the buddha makes a gesture of reassurance, abbaya mudra, with his right hand, and a gesture of liberality with his left hand, varada mudra. There is an inset inscription on the left. Chosun Dynasty 17th/18th century. It measures 50" wide by 54" tall by 2.5" deep. Incense marks throughout. Previously featured in the 2008 Arts of Pacific Asia show.

This is the only ancient Korean mace ever offered for sale. The few existing examples are all in museums in Korea. It is from the Early Joseon Dynasty, 16th Century or earlier. Only Korea has this type of straight mace with a perfectly round head. And the head is made from iron insets just like the scales on Korean royal armor. 22 inches (46 cm) long, 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide.
