A bronze dragon water spout dating from the late Edo or early Meiji period (mid to later 19th century) in an unusual full body configuration. Most spouts appear climbing over the edge of a basin, and thus only the front of the dragon need be cast. This however writhes across the edge of the basin, the entire body exposed. A pipe extending from the stomach allows the water to be attached. It is 29-1/2 x 11 x 10 inches (75 x 28 x 25 cm)...

She is wonderfully sculpted with realistic detailing and form. The hardwood stand she is seated on is carved to look like rock formations with leaves and mushrooms with pigment traces. Circa 1890. Measures about 15”H x 16”L x 9 ½”D (excluding wood stand). Very good overall condition with excellent naturalistic detail and a nice dark brown patina. This bronze sculpture is from an old Scottsdale, Arizona collection.

Massive Japanese Taisho period bronze jardinière cast with four lobes in high relief with chidori (Japanese sparrows) perched on or flying among flowering cherry branches. A lappet band extends around the circumference where the top of the incurving shoulder meets the short, straight neck with everted rim. The ovoid form body rests on a splayed base. Measures about 16” high by 20” diameter and weighs 26 lbs. Early 20th century. Very good overall condition with good patina...

Incredibly charming Japanese bronze incenser in the form of a floppy eared dog, with a curly tail and and a real bell handing off of his neck. A pierced lid comes off of his back to place incense inside, which would then pillow forth from the mouth. Original natural patina from antiquity. Incredible Japanese highly bronze figure of three playful puppies. One falling onto his back, another laying in the middle and the last one climbing over him. They are all very finely detailed. The artist's signature on the bottom of the middle puppy. Very well done with exquisite detail.
