$600.00 A rare Tibetan Ritual Dance 'Cloud Collar’ Silk Brocade, made from Ming dynasty silk brocade.
This collar would be worn by monk / dancer as part of the elaborate and rich attire during special Buddhist ritual performances like the Cham dance.
Size: 88 x 88 cm circa . Tibet, 17 - 18th cent.
Condition: generally quite good but of course has been used for very long time and has some stains and a couple of tears.

Charming votive folk embroidery, from the Saurashtra area of Gujarat, made by the Kanbi farmers caste, circa 50/60 years old. The two ply field is woven from all hand spun rough cotton thread; hand dyed silk thread and small glass mirrors. Ganesh is flanked by two female consorts and his “vehicle” of mice beneath him. These are brought out during religious and auspicious festivals. Excellent condition. W: 54cm/21.1in and H: 56cm/22in. Free shipping.

This is a very fine and rare antique/vintage piece circa 55/60 years old in perfect condition. I purchased this in 1990 and it has been in storage ever since. This was embroidered by the Dhebaria Rabari ethnic group from East Kutch, it should be noted that this group has ceased doing embroidery over 40 years ago. W: 120cm/47.2in and H: 73cm/28.8in. The silk triangular pieces at the bottom are probably a later addition...

SOLD This is an extremely rare Bhutanese devotional textile with appliqued symbols and a central "Yin-Yang" medallion within an eight-armed wheel of the law. The piece is in outstanding condition, measuring 47" X 29", not including the fringe. Backed with a patterned trade textile. The piece dates to no later than the first quarter of the 20th century. In over 50 years of collecting, this is only the second one of its type that I have seen on the market. A rare opportunity.

SOLD This is a large and early Buddhist applique textile, dating to no later than the mid-19th century. The design consists of a double-dorje centering a "yin-yang" emblem, representing the masculine and feminine principles of the universe. The piece is complete and intact with minimal wear as one would expect. It measures just over 30" in diameter. Textiles such as this one are exceedingly rare and seldom found.
