A Chinese paper fan with bamboo sticks, the paper centre is varnished in order to stiffen the paper. The bamboo sticks are decorated with a hot point, a technique known in the West as pyrography. There is a worn out silk tassel with a large amethyst bead. Approximately 30 cm long. The fan is in fine condition overall but one or two on the bamboo inner sticks have short splits...

Sold, Thank You Very Much Fine and thinly potted, decorated to exterior with incised chrysanthemum scrolls and interior center with flower medallion and diaper pattern to mouth rim. Ming dynasty 16th century with square mark to the base. Condition is very good except tiny chip to the foot rim, no crack and no restoration. Height: 5.3cm and Diameter: 10.5cm.

$2,000.00 South China/North Vietnam Yao Shaman Ka Dong Deity Ritual Mask. This fine old mask would have been used in the same family for several generations to perform rituals such as those for a newborn baby and maturation. The wood for this important mask would have been taken from dep in the forest where spirits were believed to live. 14.5 inches, 37 cm.

$200.00 A small teapot and lid, Kangxi period, c 1700. Painted - clobbered - probably in Holland for the European market, in iron red, green, pink, black and gilt over the original under-glaze blue decoration. The base with a pseudo-Chinese seal mark in iron red. Height, including lid "4 1/2/ 11 cm. Condition: repair to the lid (cf. photos), otherwise fine.
From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, a very fine Kangxi (1662-1722) Mark and Period porcelain dish depicting an elegant lady being attended to by her servant.
