Dragon's Pearl
$1,200.00 A decorative plaquette in hardwood (hongmu) mounted on old velvet with a two-dimensional cloisonné vase with peonies. Qing, 19th cent. (both frame and vase). H 42 cm, W 29 cm. Condition: Over-all quite good, but with a few minor losses (check photos).
A rare pair of Chinese cloisonne and gilt bronze square vases, 18th century. 16 cms. Very heavily cast. Weight of each vase 832g and 783g.
From a Hampshire, UK deceased estate.
An almost identical single vase was sold at Christies Hong Kong, 4/6/2024, lot 3160.
Good condition with expected wear.

$2,250.00 Antique Chinese pair of gourd shaped cloisonné vases with lids. Elegantly decorated all over with intricate cloisonné scrolling vine motifs. Two reserves on the upper and lower portion of the gourd form are decorated with scenes of birds and blossoming flowers. Each vase has a small lid with a stem shaped handle. Either side of the gourd form is outfitted with intricate gilt bird handles.

$2,000.00 Chinese bronze and dark blue cloisonne opium tray of rectangular form. Raised on four ball feet, this tray has 3 lidded compartments surmounted by foo dogs, a fitted oil burner, and 2 compartments with 6 miniature enamel dishes (3 in each). The oil burner's top screws on and still retains its snuffer and chain. Dates circa 1900 and is in excellent antique condition. Measures 15.5" x 7.5".

This branch of red coral is polished and mounted on a globular and tripod traditionnal
chinese vase called a ding, miniaturised and realised in bronze decorated with enamel using
the cloisonné technique, representing a dragon and a flaming pearl.

A rare pair of Chinese cloisonne enamel 'holy water' bottles, Qianlong/Jiaqing, c. 1800. Height 23 cms.
Iron-red decorated porcelain bottles of this shape were made in the Qianlong reign as gifts to Tibetan monks. In cloisonne, however, they are much rarer.
The only pair to have come on the market in recent times were sold at Christie's New York, 18.9.2014, for USD 23,750.
A single example was sold in Christie's Paris, 8.6.2010, lot 242.
