A stunning HONGZHI (HUNG-CHIH 1488-1505) DEEP Rich Yellow glazed dish with rounded sides supported on a tapered foot, the interior incised with an Imperial 5- clawed Dragon amidst Ruyi Clouds, encircled by a band of motifs. The exterior is decorated with auspicious symbols, applied overall with this deep/rich, yellow, shiny glaze. The base has the 6 character HONGZHI Mark. Size: 8 3/4" diameter x height 1 3/4"

A Chinese Shiwan stoneware fanghu vase with a jun glaze, late Ming/early Qing dynasty. The hollow tube handles associate this type of vase with the arrow game pastime but this example, given the small diameters involved would be unsuitable. The glaze is a transmutation glaze and its colour is decided by the kiln conditions at the peak temperature.

Shiwan (Shekwan) ceramics are from southern China, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

Chinese Qing dynasty conjoined porcelain bottle vase with a globular body and long neck covered overall in a finely spotted monochrome tea dust glaze. Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period thinly potted deep charger decorated with floral groupings in alternating deep blue and "dan miao qing hua" (fine pale blue pigments) set against a white porcelain ground. A narrow geometric and floral band extends around the interior rim. A few sparse leafy twigs decorate the exterior. There are chatter marks to the unmarked base. An old owner's tag on the base incorrectly states the age as 19th century, however, the piece dates circa 1750...

Early 1800's underglaze cobalt blue decorated Chinese tea bowl stands. The center of the dish is open with a raised collar and the opening designed to accommodate a footed tea bowl. The underside is decorated with concentric rings and three stylized bats. The side of the foot ring is decorated with auspicious symbols. In very good condition showing very little sign of wear. They measure 4 inches diameter, interior diameter 2 1/8" and 1 1/8" high.
