Excessively rare cizhou jar representing rabbit. The elegance of the animal is surprising, the drawing is precise and fast, the artist has drawn his line without hesitation. Rabbit is alive. A finely detailed Chinese porcelain rooster in a rich blue turquoise glaze with his comb and wattle, as well as the rock form base, glazed in a deep aubergine. In excellent condition, it measures 10.25" high, 7" long.

Please note: Any brown or white spots in photos are reflections, especially in the 2nd photograph where it looks brown at the base of the rooster's comb. It is not brown, it is purple. The reflection is coming from a brown bench behind the photographer.

The planter is 7.3 inches (18.5 cm) tall by 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) wide. The under plate is 1.8 inches (4.6 cm) tall by 8.3 inches (21 cm) wide. The total weight is 5.6 Lb.

Fine & Rare Chinese Yuan Dynasty Black Pottery Censer

We have recently been lucky enough to have acquired a collection of very rare examples of burnished black pottery items made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Such items are relatively unknown and very little has been published about them. They are found in the northern provinces, particularly Gansu province in the north-west.

Well balance potted small pear shaped ewer with thinly transparent body, lobed side to the body. Covered overall with greenish glazed. Condition is perfect, no any chips, no any cracks and free from any restoration. Southern Song or later to Yuan Dynasty. Height: 13,8 cm

Width approximately 29.5 cm (across the handles). There are few soft chips at the handle. More pictures are available. In good condition.
