This fine porcelain bowl was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), most likely around the 11th to 12th centuries. It is coated in a pale blue glossy translucent qingbai glaze of good colour, save for the base that remains unglazed. The inner surface is decorated with a design of combed swirls although this is partly obscured by the crackle of the glaze...
