Large Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Ewer

This wide-bodied porcelain ewer was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It is particularly "heavily-potted" for its type. It has a "kinked" spout, a wide loop handle and two decorative loops on opposite sides joined at the shoulder and neck. It is coated in a fairly thick greenish blue glaze that is crackled in places. The base remains unglazed revealing the creamy-white body.

Jar with pouring spout serving as an important ewer for tea, wine or water. Decor of a dragon energetically painted in underglaze cobalt blue, its eagle claws widely deployed. 4 sturdy handles allow you to hang the ewer. This type of hanging container is made of bronze and was used on boats, hence its name "sampan teapot". The pouring spout was formerly restored. All the rest of the object is in good condition.China 17th century or before.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty oval form lidded jar densely decorated on the front in underglaze blue on a faintly celadon tinted white ground with a phoenix bird among peonies. Three blue clouds are on the lid. The base and interior are glazed while the foot is unglazed. Late 19th century. 12 1/2" high. Very good overall condition. The unglazed mouth rim has tiny imperfections. There are a few glaze losses to the tip and side of the finial that might be from the original production...

Fine & Rare Chinese Song / Yuan / Early Ming Dynasty Longquan Celadon Jarlet - Lotus Pattern

This rare small jar was made during the 13th / 14th century at the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province. It is coated in a thick celadon glaze and has a particularly attractive and crisp moulded floral pattern including lotus blossoms. There are two small loop handles at the shoulder. The unglazed base is slightly concave.

Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period rectangular form porcelain plaque painted in famille rose enamels and gilt highlights with a crane on a pine branch above thick leafy flowers. A poem at the upper left is dated in Chinese cycle years to winter of 1902 and signed Jiang Yongyuan (active circa 1899-1919) at Zhushan, a district of Jingdezhen. A raised rim frames the composition. 15 1/4" long by 9 1/4" wide by 7/8” deep. There is a fine old brown hairline crack extending down from the top...

A large rouleau vase of porcelain decorated with the Three Auspicious Gods (sanxing) of Daoism, in polychrome enamel glazes (famille verte style) on a deep, blue ground. Excellent quality of work. China, late Qing to early Republican Period, ca. 1900–1925. Marked with a Kangxi-period nianhao. H 46 cm. Condition: Excellent.

Chinese antique monochrome porcelain gourd shaped vase with "peach bloom" glaze. Light red mottled with light green glaze. White glaze inside and inset bottom with 6 character Kangxi mark. Very fine hairline crack on the neck near mouth of vase.

An exceptionally small Japanese tea or wine bowl and saucer, Edo period c 1710. Blood and milk iron red and gilt decoration of butterflies, flowers and swirls. Height of cup 1 ¼ " / 3.2 cm Diameter 2 ¼ "/ 5.5 cm, of saucer 3 ½ "/ 8.8 cm. Condition: repair to the saucer, the cup with a nick to the inner side of the foot rim (c.f. pics).

Chinese export dish or flattened bowl, Yongzheng c 1730. Enameled decoration of birds, flowering peony and a garden rock in the Famille rose palette with some accents in gilt. Diameter 8 2/3 " / 22 cm, height 1 1/3 "/ 3.3 cm. Condition: two hairlines and an old repair with rivets (= without any adhesives or other additions).

Peach blossom, red and green mottled glazed bottle vase circa mid 20th century (a conservative dating) good condition. H: 16.5cm/6.5in and D: 11cm/4.2in.

Rare Yuan dynasty blue and white large stem bowl, stem bowl has been broken and restored size 16.5 cm diameter 12.5 cm height.
