A delicate little porcelain wine cup with butterflies. The enamels are just beautiful, precise, not grainy, etc. It has an iron red Tongzhi mark on the bottom. Except for a little wear to the gold on the rim, it is in excellent condition measuring approximately 2 5/8” wide and 1.25" high.

Two very attractive Chinese porcelain spoons, dated 19th C. and marked. In excellent condition these ladies are waiting to complete your collection. Measure about 5" long.

Broken shards of these crab plates have been found on the Island in Cebu in the Philippines, and are determined to be of the Zhangzhou type (formerly called Swatow wares). This lovely crab dish is from the Spanish porcelain trade that was exported from China to South East Asia. I am not absolutely certain of its exact age, but can guarantee that it is at least 150 years old. Measuring 6.75" in diameter, it is in perfect antique condition, no chips, hairlines or repair.

Yuan/Ming Longquan Celadon Ewer. Length approximately 9 cm (the tipspout to the handle) and height approximately 7.8 cm. An old repaired at the spout. Good condition.

Very nice small bowl, decorated with five children playing and one inside the center all in green, red and yellow enamels, brown glaze to rim. The base with square mark within double circle. Late Ming dynasty Thianqi to Chongzhen period. Condition with almost invisible hairline, otherwise is perfect. Diameter: 11.3cm and High: 6cm.

Description:

A celadon ewer or water dropper was intriguingly mold as chicken pot.
By cute-looking spout and simple-form wings, the porcelain pot was applied with glass-sheen glaze all over the surface.
On the unglazed bottom, the dense-feel clay was revealed and was with adhesives of burial earth.
Crackles and abrasions were resulted from incursions too.
It was kept in very fine condition...

A highly decorative 19th century Chinese Famille Rose Blue Ground Porcelain Wall Vase. One of a pair, each hand painted hanging tapered wall pocket has a lovely detailed design with summer and winter scenes, flowers, butterflies and foliage, featuring a central geisha design in soft shades of blue, pink, green, russet and gold. An excellent pictorial reference specializing in blanc de chine (dehua) and a must-have book for anybody collecting within this field. The text by Robert Blumenthal is very good as well. We personally find that blanc de chine is probably the biggest area of fraud, abuse, and mistake by unscrupulous and /or unknowledgeable dealers, and as such it is probably the main area where novice collectors get burnt the most...

A very good reference book that covers various Chinese export wares, but which is especially useful for Chinese Rose Medallion collectors. While the book is somewhat lacking in that most of the photos are black and white and not in color, the book is still very important as an encyclopedic guide to all the myriad of shapes and forms within the Rose Medallion genre...
