From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, a very fine, large, and rare late Shunzhi / early Kangxi porcelain charger circa 1645-1665. This charger is well-painted in a rich blue featuring symmetrically arranged peony sprays within a six-pointed star-shaped central medallion, surrounded on the cavetto with a continuous ring of ruyi head motifs. The reverse features an uncommon double footrim along with Buddhist symbols on the outer border...

A set of four wine cups individually painted in traditional Chinese landscape style and each bearing the verse "Xin Kuan Wang Di Zhia" which translates directly as "Heart Broad Forget Ground Narrow". The bases carry the iron red four character reign mark of the Hongxian 'emperor' (1916) but these items were probably made later, during the Republic Period, circa 1917-1949. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...

A MING SWATOW (ca. 1625) Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Plate with thick, shiny glaze, depicting a Phoenix in the center medallion surrounded by a border featuring auspicious symbols. The back side of the plate also has some decor. There are a few firing imperfections (unglazed well/spots) as shown in the photograph and some kiln sand/grit deposit on the back base of the plate, which is common in Ming ware and a sign of authenticity. Very good condition, no cracks, hairlines nor restorations...

Very Fine KANGXI Blue and White Chinese Porcelain Plate of classical beauty with blue under glaze depicting a rare and exquisitely rendered hexagonal 6-pointed star shaped center medallion, surrounded by detailed flower reserves and diaper panels of Ruyi shape. The back of the plate also has some painted decor. Period: ca. 1700. Condition: good with very minor and inconsequential rim chips/frits. Size: 10" (26 cm.) diameter.

Chinese export QING blue and white porcelain plate with 4 character QIANLONG mark, but more likely to be a 19th Century Guangxu (1875-1908). This fine plate is very diverse in it's motif as it depicts a charming mansion/pavillion with extensive architectural details and inhabitants. The land and seascape is detailed with a man holding an open umbrella crossing a bridge, a fishing boat, trees, flying birds and a pagoda in the horizon...

A superior example of a Ming Dynasty blue and white Swatow porcelain plate which dates from the Wanli Reign (1573 - 1619). It has a thick crackled glaze and the center medallion is hand painted with a rare crossed double phoenix motif (male and female) and nicely surrounded by foliage, a large peony and other flowers. This stunning ensemble is surrounded by 5 very attractive border panels. As this is a shipwreck dish there is no question as to it's authenticity...

Republic period, late 19th century, phoenix with yellow, pink, and green feathers. The feathers are beautifully detailed. The bird stands on one foot with the other raised close to it's body atop a rock formation. It measures 17" tall. Overall good condition with some loses.

A perfectly matching pair of Chinese QIANLONG blue & white hand painted tea bowls with scalloped edges. The exterior depicts chrysanthemum and prunus flowers, whereas the inside of the bowl has a single flower in the well and a fine diaper border around the rim. Condition: both have rim frits, one bowl has a nick on the rim while the other has a minor firing crack between the chrysanthemum and the prunus blossoms. Size: 3" (7.5 cm.) diameter x H. 1 3/4" (4.2 cm.)...

A most delicate hand painted KANGXI (1662-1722)octagonal blue and white porcelain wine or liquor cup. The exterior of the cup has 8 panels with delicately rendered flower motifs, whereas the center medallion depicts a charming scene with pagodas, trees and a seascape. Condition: very good, no chips, cracks, hairlines nor restorations. Size: 2 1/2" (6 cm,) diameter x H, 1 1/2" (3.5 cm.)

3 Perfectly matching octogonal blue and white Chinese KANGXI or YONGZHENG Period wine or liquor cups. Early 18th Century. All 3 have a central medallion with an open lotus flower and scroll. The outside is equally decorated with delicately hand painted lotus scroll work and flowers. The rims have a nice diaper border. Condition: very good, no chips, hairlines nor restorations. Size: 2 3/4" ( 7cm.) diameter x H. 1 3/4" (4.5 cm.). Very rare to find 3 matching pieces!

Kangxi Period (1662-1722) Chinese Blue and White Porcelain tea or liquor cup depicting slender ladies dancing "Long Elizas". Size: 6 cm. diameter x H. 3.5 cm. Nice condition, high resonance when tapped, tiny rim chips (flea bites), otherwise no hairlines, cracks nor repairs.

A rare 'ogee-shaped' bowl finely decorated in Chinese taste with four Chilong dragons amongst scrolling lotus foliage in Wucai enamels on the outside. The interior is decorated in typical early 18th Century 'Famille Verte' export style with Lotus, Chrysanthemum and Peony flowers and Buddhistic Emblems. This item was made during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662 - 1722)...

QING Dynasty round polychrome porcelain box with cover and mark on base. Condition: good, no cracks, hairlines or restorations. Size: 3" (7,5 cm.) diameter x H. 2" (5 cm.)

A delicate and finely hand painted Chinese export Famille Rose porcelain tea bowl of ogee shape. Qianlong period (ca. 1780). Top rim decor is blue under glaze with a tiny colored flower in the center of the tea bowl and the outside has famille rose enamels depicting a fawn/deer and delicate pastel flowers with branches. Size: 3" (7.4 cm.) x H. 1 3/4" (4.3 cm.) Condition: good with some minor rim frits.

A fine late Ming Dy blue and white jarlet with a horse on each side. Rare to find with original lid, this jarlet and lid is in excellent condition with no flaws, no chips, hairlines, or other damage. Book not included.

Nicely painted Cobalt QING Blue & White Porcelain Stem Plate, 19th Century. Difficult to find. Condition: overall good, but has nicks to the outside rim and one chip which can be restored. Size: 12 cm. top diameter x 7 cm. bottom diameter X H. 5 cm.

Unusual Ching Dynasty (possibly older) Porcelain Bowl with polychrome flower motif and an iron red inner motif in the well. High resonance when tapped. Condition: good overall, one small rim chip and 2 small hairlines. Size: 11.5 cm. top diameter x H. 4.5 cm.
