A floral circular medallion on a green ground to th interior. The rim and foot bound with a metal band. Chinese 18/19thC. Diameter: 7" (17.8 cm) Condition: Hairline crack from rim 7.5 cm. Two chips in foot filled with lacquer.

Chinese late Ming dynasty Wanli period Zhangzhou (Swatow) porcelain deep dish decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a roundel at the center holding a phoenix bird standing under trees in a garden setting. A thick border of six floral panels reserved on a fish scale background surrounds the rim. Typical sand grit to the base. 16th/17th century. 10 3/4” diameter x 1 7/8” high. 19th Century Chinese Famille Rose Jar with lid..An interesting depiction with lovely painted themes and colors on base and on the lid. A heavy six-sided porcelain deep bowl decorated on the outside with famille rose enamels depicting ladies and boys in a garden landscape. The base bears the six character seal mark ( painted in iron red) of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). Condition: there are enamel losses to the turquoise glazed interior: no losses to the famille rose enamels: no chips or cracks to the porcelain body and no restoration. 21 cm (8.5 inches) across; 9 cm (3.6 inches) high.

Chinese Porcelain Sang de boeuf, Iron Red puppy dog with Celadon glaze, Ca. 1930's, 3 1/4" high, 4" wide x 1 3/4" deep, with curled tail and bell in front of the neck. Underglaze Ox blood and celadon glaze and bottom is unglazed. The condition is good, no damages.

Chinese porcelain brush pot, of a cylindrical form with a raised lip and base. Imagery of a crane flying low over rolling waves and clouds carved in relief. The underglaze is a light yellow over the front and insides while the foot is unglazed and recessed with a chop.

Here is another highlight of our family collection: a breathtaking Chinese (karamono) Jian Yuteki (oil spot) tenmoku chawan from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279).

The deep, rounded conical sides are covered inside and out with a thick, iridescent black glaze suffused with a dense pattern of variegated iridescent and silvery ‘oil spots’, stopping in an irregular line and pooling above the light grey stoneware foot.
