A pair of very high-quality Chinese agate ShiShi Lions on rosewood stands. This pair is carved from the same agate stone boulder having blue/grey color tones with soft hints of tans and an impressive surface polish. The carved details are performed with great skill showing wonderful curling hair along with exacting facial features as well as tail and feet accents. They are both displayed on their original carved and pierced open worked rosewood stands remaining in excellent condition...

The Qi Dynasty Bodhisattva, is carved from limestone and stands tall with a heavenly crown atop its head. The intricate details of the gold gilt and mandala with a swirling flame background and halo are truly breathtaking. The flying dragon protecting the deity adds an element of mystery and intrigue to the piece.

The Bodhisattva is depicted standing on a floating cloud, which adds to the ethereal quality of the piece...

Late 6th Century Northern Qi Dynasty (550 - 577) buddha carved of limestone. The three dimensional standing form is mounted in a custom weighted base for display. Right arm creates negative space between the torso as well between each feet. Textile is comfortably hangs with pleaded folds fans out around lower body. Tightly culded hair neatly formed. Losses to right shoulder and right hand at wrist...

This is a beautifully carved nephrite jade ring whose exterior is encircled by a sinuous dragon. The interior diameter is one-inch (1"); exterior diameter is 1-3/4" at the widest point. The stone is a medium celadon color with tiny areas of a darker inclusion. This is an authentic product of the Qing dynasty, not a later product misleadingly labeled "Qing," and it is guaranteed to be of the period...

Small Chinese Bi-form white jade ornament in the Mughal manner with cupped chrysanthemum petals in three, concentric, graduated circles surrounding a cross-hatched, pierced center. The flat verso cupped slightly toward the face along the rim, with small drilling (exhibiting hand craftsmanship) either side of the central aperture and with the surface exhibiting natural texture of the hand worked surface. Qing dynasty. Good condition. Diameter 2 1/8 inches.

Chinese White Cinnabar Lacquer Box with White Jade Inlaid Plaque, 17th Century

It is 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) tall by 5.4 inches (13.7 cm) long and 4.6 inches (11.6 cm) wide. The jade is 3.57 inches (9 cm) long by 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide. The total weight is 1.1 Lb.

It has flea bite chips and inclusions at the jade, surface wears and scratches...

Early 20th Century rose quartz carving of 2 beauties. Made of one piece, it is difficult to find a double figure carving like this. Presented on a custom rosewood stand, this rose quartz carving has really nice details that we were not able to fully capture with a camera. It is much nicer in person and you won't be disappointed. In excellent condition, it measures on stand 10-1/2" high x 5" wide x 2". Carving alone measures 9-1/8" high.

Impressive hand carved and polished Lapis Lazuli carving of Shou Lao, the Chinese deity of longevity, standing with others, including a deer, on a log boat. Presented on a silver wire inlaid rosewood stand, this is a superb piece and comes in its own presentation box. It measures: Long 10" x High 7.25" x Depth 2.5" plus stand. Dates mid 20th C, late Republic/early People's Republic of China.

Incredible circa 1870s Cantonese export finely carved natural (no finish applied) sandalwood three place photo frame. This frame has the best fine carvings in minute detail of any Canton worked frame we have ever seen. It has adult and young Kylin animals along with figures, including a friar, in a central medallion, the finest carved pillars separating each lower photo area...

Republic period, 1940s or earlier, semi translucent jade brush washer, or possibly a snuff tray, in an unusual oval shape with a small carved flower button in the center. The jade has a lovely soft polished surface which is always rare to find. Color is best described as white jade with a pale celadon tint and, for presentation; we have it resting on a white jade bi from a later date. Both are included in the sale. Oval snuff tray/brush washer only measures: L 5" x D3" x H 5/8"...
