Hand carved celadon green jadeite brush pot, bǐtǒng with incised and bas relief design of blossoming branches and on stump-like incised lines on bottom. Some lighter inclusions to body. Overall very good condition.

A well-carved nephrite jade plaque depicting a coiled, sinuous dragon paired with a phoenix and spiral-incised "bi" disc. The phoenix and "bi" disc have been covered with a gold lacuer gilding. Intricate, flowing spiral decoration covers the dragon's body and the disc. The piece measures 3-3/4" end to end and is, as best I can tell, made entirely without the use of modern cutting tools...

A good quality and well carved She shaped (韘型佩) nephrite pendant, decorated with dragon and phoenix. Han style, but we believe that it was carved later, maybe Qing Dynasty. Antique Chinese vase with lid, made of green jadeite, with 8 faceted sides. Carved with scrolling floral motifs and filigree, with open carved filigree handles. The lid has a large finial over carved drapery. The base is carved with a lotus form over the tall, deeply recessed foot.

Chinese carved white jade with orange coloration areas, in the form of a bunch of lingzhi mushroom sprigs. The lingzhi symbolizes good health and longevity, as depicted in the imperial Forbidden City and Summer Palace. It is a talisman for luck in traditional Chinese culture, and the goddess Guanyin is sometimes depicted holding a lingzhi sprig. Provenance: Howard Caplain Estate
