Carved of green jade with orange striations. Likely a burial or ceremonial artifact. Hongshan culture was located in the Liao river basin in northeastern China.

Sold, Thank You Extremely rare example of Early Ming dynasty large blue and white bowl, decorated to the exterior with Eight Buddhist emblems or such known as Bajixiang supported by Lotus flower. Xuande six characters mark to the rim and of the period. Condition is damaged and re-glued. Diameter: 29 cm and Height: 10,3 cm.

SOLD Chinese Jade carving of a maiden representing "Yuenu", a historic figure famous for her ability at archery and how to use a sword. She came from the Chinese province of Zhejiang and is sometimes called the Maiden of the Southern Forrest. The jade is beautifully carved with her holding a sword in her left hand and a ruyi scepter in her right, cloths flowing in the wind.
