Beautifully plaited bamboo basket we think by Iizuka Sounsai of the famed Iizuka Family of reknown basket makers in the Taisho and Showa eras. It is not signed but exactly like the signed Kyokusho (Sounsai's art name) pc4 we have on the site. Circa 1920 – 1940. Iizuka Kyokusho was a brother of Iizuka Rokansai and Iizuka Hosai. Chinese Han Dynasty Sichuan Pottery Duck

This pottery model of a duck was made during the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25 - 220) and has been excavated in Sichuan province. It is very "heavily" potted and sturdy, and has been made in a two-part mould. Note the detail of the feathers on its back.

It is of a good size with a length of 17.5 cm. It is in good condition with no obvious sign of restoration or repair.

Khmer 12th Century Glazed Stoneware Jarlet

This unusually-shaped small stoneware jar was made during the 12th Century. It has a globular body that flares down into a relatively wide foot with a flat base. The body is decorated with four groups of three vertically incised parallel lines. Around the mouth is a serrated edge.

Height 6 cm. Where the glaze is at its thinnest it has flaked from the surface in places, but there is no restoration or repair.
