A large and impressive Chinese flambe-glazed porcelain moon flask, with garlic neck and ruyi head handles, covered in a thick semi translucent red and light blue flambe glaze which finishes neatly at the foot. The base with an incised Qianlong six-character seal mark underneath a mottled brown translucent glaze.

On the back of the netsuke manju there is a character carved in low relief, depicted on his knees and with an expression of fear or supplication.
This netsuke is signed Chounsai 長雲齋 with Hidechika seal.
