A Hizen-yaki, Arita kilns dish in the Kakiemon style. Probably after design examples from the latter kiln. The cavetto with delicate shironuki decoration of sakura blossoms on waves of water. The center undecorated save a single chrysanthemum blossom. Brown rim induced by iron oxide. The exterior with karakusa around the unglazed ring foot centering a spurious mark suggesting the Chinese Ming dynasty. Early 19th century. Good condition. Diameter about 7 3/4 and a little more in places.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty oval form lidded jar densely decorated on the front in underglaze blue on a faintly celadon tinted white ground with a phoenix bird among peonies. Three blue clouds are on the lid. The base and interior are glazed while the foot is unglazed. Late 19th century. 12 1/2" high. Very good overall condition. Lifetime edition Japanese shin hanga chuban sized woodblock print titled in kanji and English "Benkei Bridge" by Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995) dated Showa 16 (1941). Pencil-signed at the lower right margin and with the artist's black ink signature and red seal at the lower left corner of the image. Paper: 10 5/8" x 7 3/4" (image: 9 1/2” x 6 3/4”). Very good overall condition with full margins.

Very rare Japanese comic demon Buaku Kyogen mask dating from the early Edo Period, the golden age of Noh Drama. The Buaku mask is a Kyogen version of the Noh Beshimi character. This fine pottery jar was made some 4,000 years ago. Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Lotus Jar

This rare and interesting pottery jar was made between the 10th and 13th centuries, during the Five Dynasties period (AD 906 - 960), Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province.�

Simple elegance is how we describe this late 19th C. turquoise Noya ware bowl. Good and strong vibrant colors of flowers with auspicious symbols, this bowl has very little wear and is in excellent shape without any chips, cracks, hairlines, and free from any restoration. It measures 10.5 inches long, 7.5 wide and 2" high.

This is beautiful katsugi silk kimono of the Meiji era(1868-1912). It is totally a design of the scenery such as the sumi drawing. This katsugi-kimono is a formal dress. It will be to decorate your room with very Japanese-style peaceful scenery. It is made with good-quality silk of the habutae silk. It has thin stain and damage. However, it does not stand out. size:144cm x 124cm (56.7" x 48.8" )

Fine and rare old Yao/Mien all hand spun and woven cotton wedding veil with silk thread embroidered geometrical design, circa 50 years old. This piece is from Kim Mien group and was originally collected in Northern Laos. The colors on this piece are subtle and restrained (please note the use of shades of brown and blue in enlargements) and the brown and white tassels. Except for a couple of tiny holes this piece is in excellent condition. W: 47cm/18.5in and L: 75cm/29.5in.

A Tang Dynasty White Glaze Melon Box with lobed vertically carved lines eminating from the lid. Hair line in the glaze on lid appears to be in the glaze only. Crack in lid from time of manufacture. Height is 3 inches.
