Sold Description:
A Yaozhou water dropper was presented in perfect condition. The glaze condition was very good except some incursions had been happened to the rim of the venting hole and the beak-like mouth. Amusingly found at the bottom, there were three padding clays were still adhered without being removed. It was really rare to find an ancient porcelain ware which was solely for scholar use. A similar piece but from Longquan site was documented. Date: Jin dynasty, 111... Decorated with bamboo and characters (poem?).
The bronze lid signed on the inside by Ryobundo. Condition: old repair on the inside of the pot. Late Meiji, early 20th century. H. 21 cm, Diameter 16 cm.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - Oct 2013 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2013年10月 A heavy, portable, antique metal bound wood cabinet fitted with drawers and a carrying handle made in Japan, circa 1800-1900 or possibly earlier. Condition: there is considerable age wear which includes minor losses to the edges and the metal mounts. 38cm (15inches) high;33cm (13inches) wide; 44cm(17.3inches) deep. Weight: 8kg (approx 17.5lb)

Sold in our Liverpool shop - August 2014 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2014年8月 A large dish or plate painted in typical early 18th Century "Famille Rose" enamels and decorated with flowering peony shrubs and a chrysanthemum.This item was made in China, for export to Europe, during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735).
Condition - extensively damaged - it has been broken into many pieces and has old rivetted ("stapled") and infilled repairs but could be a good study or display piece.31cm (12inches) diameter

Sold to China - July 2013 售至中国 - 2013 年7月 A large and heavy porcelain vase with thick Sang-de-boeuf ('Ox-blood') glaze. On the base is incised the six character reign mark of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). We have been unable to decide whether this item was made during his reign (in the late Qing dynasty) or later during the Republic period (1912-1949. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 44cm (17.3inches) high; weight 5kg (11 lbs).

Sold to China - July 2013 售至中国 - 2013 年7月 A finely moulded biscuit glazed Wang Binrong style porcelain vase decorated with the eight buddhist emblems and two Qianlong style dragons. The base has a moulded CHINA mark indicating that this item was made post 1891 for export during either the late Guangxu or early Republic period (circa 1895-1920). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 21cm (8.25 inches) high.

Price on Request A rare finely carved cylindrical bamboo incense box depicting Scholars amongst rocks and pine trees in a mountain landscape. This item was made in China in the late Qing period - the characters carved into the top read "Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" which translates as "Made in the Guangxu reign Qing dynasty" (1875-1908). Condition - one 2cm age related crack at the top - otherwise excellent with no damages or losses and no repairs or restoration. 22.7cm (8.8inches) high.

Sold. Thank you A late 19th - early 20th century "Yun" lacquered betel box with incised design of two horses and riders, elephant and dancers. The box is divided into three pieces. The bottom part for betel leaves and the top part for lime, areca nuts, clove and other ingredients. Size: H. 10.5cm. Diameter. 21cm. Condition: No repairs. Some age cracking.
