This is a very colorful Japanese Plique-a-Jour cloisonne vase. The colors used are a little different than most and contrast beautifully.(See images) Condition is very good. But when held up to bright light a line can be seen. It does not show in normal lighting. The vase is even a little different size. It stands 3 5/8 inches tall.

China, 1600's late Ming Henan Black Ware Tribal Ocarina Wind Instrument Whistle. Of fig shape with rounded body and 8 holes on the front and back with an escape on the neck and glazed mouth piece, in the Song to Yuan style of earlier Henan black wares or changsha ware, though likely later in dating. The deep amber glaze darkening to brown in areas. Incised mark to front. It measures approx. 2 3/4" x 4" x 2 1/2".

Natural Malachite Strand Necklace, 31" long, 3/8" diameter for each bead, in good condition.

This is a fine old Antique Chinese charger. It is done in a pattern rarely seen. Look close at the images and you will see the old orange peel surface texture. The charger has no cracks or chips. It does have a little wear to the gold but most of the enamels are fine. Overall it is in very good condition and in much better condition than most this age.. The Charger is heavily potted and weighs several lbs. Measures 13 inches across.

Japanese Arita porcelain round form deep dish decorated in underglaze blue with a karashishi (Buddhist lion dog) among leafy flowers set against a faintly celadon tinted white ground. The back bears an abbreviated apocryphal Chinese Ming dynasty Chenghua reign mark (Taimin nenka) on the glazed base. The foot rim is unglazed. A rare sake-daru (Sake Keg) made of piled woven bamboo in combination with Japanese red lacquered pine. This tsuno-daru has two horn-like staves with inscriptions, a cross piece forming a carrying handle, and a wooden plug that pulls out. This saki barrel dates pre 1920. Sake casks such as this were prepared by sake factories to be used for special ceremonial occasions in the late 19th to the early 20th centuries. In excellent condition, it measures 21” tall and 7” in diameter.

A Chinese Yixing stoneware incense burner in the form of Budai, laughing as usual, grasping a small pile of cash. The stoneware has been attractively enameled with flowers and a Shou medallion decorates his back. The base has an impressed maker’s mark. 19th century.

The incense burner is in two parts, Budai sits on a large cushion, this base features a pierced disc for the insertion of joss sticks.

Deftly woven with very thin strips of bamboo then lacquered to strengthen and waterproof. The cord guides and knop are cleverly integral and remain complete and in good condition.
