A metallic Shino Chawan by Tsukigata Nahiko enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Oni Shino Yohen O-Chawan and named inside Rokugo (also read Rikugo) which is something to do with the ancient concept of the tertiary levels of heaven and earth. A large, Museum Quality tomb pottery figure of a female attendant. Se carries a dish in front of her chest.

The figure dates to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.

The figure is placed on a large Lotus throne on top of high hexagonal plint, both are in fine deep cobolt blue and turquiose coloured glaze, as is the robe.

Her hair is styled very artfully and her head has finely hand painted facial details. Lotus thrones are very rare for Ming pottery figures.

Lovely pair of small Chinese ginger jars measuring only 5.5 inches high including finial and 3.5" in diameter. They feature a beautiful crackle glaze with a polychrome scene depicting warriors in the Battle of the 3 Kingdoms. These jars were last used as a antique decorative item on top of a diminutive slant top writing desk in a NYC Park Avenue Apartment before the family retired to NC.
