$9,000.00 Incense burner carved in turquoise, relief decoration of stylized dragons. The handles are in the shape of the heads of Buddhist lions. The cover is surmounted by a socket which is fixed by a screw cut in the stone. This censer is very elegant and of beautiful proportions, the sculptures are well executed. The stone has many defects (which are natural mineral inclusions) which did not put off the sculptor, it even seems that this stained effect was aesthetically sought. This kind of very stained...

sold Small cast bronze incense burner. Ding (tripod) shape. Beautiful casting and neat finish. The sobriety of the decor and the perfection of the volumes giving this small creation a powerful yet elegant appearance suggest that it is a very old censer, probably from the Song period. An excellent very old patina stained with verdigris in places would be compatible with this earlier period. Height 82mm. Fine condition.

$2,800.00 Cast bronze censer in 3 parts. The casting is perfect and the metal meticulously scraped. The combustion hearth part fits on a 6-foot base inspired by wooden furniture. The decor is simple but of high quality, the greek borders and the discreet scrolls are very finely incised with the best precision. The lid is not of the same quality, it was created to replace the old lost lid. It is an excellent ancient Chinese work from the 18th century or earlier.
