Drawers of varying sizes or organizing and storage. Sliding doors hide a compartment where merchant books and records were stored. Constructed using through mortise and tenon joinery and hardened wood nails. Side horizontal ribs add strength, support and visual permanence to the chest.

Age: Edo Period (1800-1850) Dimensions: 13 1/4" Wide by 40 1/2" High by 23 3/4" Deep This late Qing Dynasty hat is in excellent condition. Made with silk fabric with silk thread satin stitch embroidery on both front and back, it has long tassels on each side.
