A large Chinese gongshi, or scholar rock, highly appreciated as a contemplative viewing piece by literati. The piece is formed by natural elmwood root that has been lacquered, entangling a lingbi stone, originating from the Anhui province of China. Inset within a wooden base.

Antique Chinese grey and white jadeite carving of two fish swimming opposite each other, one of them spouting a stream of water out of its mouth. The fish are delicately carved over the darker grey area of jade, while the rest piece is a lighter grey/white jade. Size: 2.5" length, .75" thickness

Antique Chinese porcelain bowl of a thin form, with gilt rim and yellow enamel inner rim with peaches and lucky bats. The inside center has a red dragon with gilt accenting. The outer body of the bowl has two colorful powder blue and pink-red dragons flying over waters. The bottom of the bowl is marked Guangxu period (1875-1908). Very small loss on rim. An intricately hand carved Chinese zitan or similar dark hardwood lid for a jar. There is an insurance number written on the inside of the lid, see last photo. In excellent condition, it measures approximately 2 inches (5.1 cm) high, 3"(7.6 cm) across at base, opening about 1.75" (4.4 cm). Dates 1800s

Antique hand-carved wooden half mask of some sort of god or deity, with recognizable features of a deity such as the elongated earlobes, and winglike hair and eyebrows. Has small traces of red lacquer, and above its lips are remains of where many bunches of hair would once have been, missing due to antiquity. Visible chisel marks are apparent inside. 18th/19th century Size: 11" height, 7" width

Chinese wooden hand carved mask of a smiling man, its jaw left open so that the wearer had an easier time speaking. Features of the mask include red lacquer lips, black lacquer eyebrows, nice carved details such as the teeth, nostrils, wrinkled forehead and hair. 18th/19th century Size: 6.75" height, 4.75" width

This offered painting dates from the early or the mid Qing-Dynasty around the 17th. and 18th. century.

It was impossible to identify the artist, but it is obvious that he was a great painter of his time. The colours are still strong and vivid, and it is a real joy to notice the impressing details of the amazing dusk scenery.

Chinese hardstone hand-carved cup with a handle shaped like a chimera peeking inside. Below the rim of the container is a band carved with geometric pattern. The stone is pale white with areas of darker beige and brown.
