Chinese Carved Agate Lamp Finial, Ca. 1940, hardware is for old and new size both, 2 1/2" high, 1 5/8" x 1 3/8" x 1/4" thick, thick carving design on both sides, the condition is good.

Rare item. Two fragments which are thick silk crepe (oni-chirimen) with katazome Ainu design. It might be haori (jacket) or kimono. In good condition but has some light stains and a hole (1cm x 0.5cm) The first half of the 20th century. Left one: 39cm x 96cm, Right one: 39cm x 116cm

Meisen kimono with kasuri red and black rectangular pattern. It has red red silk lining, so probably made in 1930s. In excellent condition. 124cm x 154cm

Chogappo made of fragments of white choma (ramie) whose weft and warp are hand-plied. Natural color fragments are mixture of choma and silk. "Pojagi" is the general name for the wrapping cloth and "chogappo" is one kind of pojagi which is patchworked with asa (mainly choma, ramie) fragments.(reference source: "Korean Embroidery and Wrapping Cloths from the Choson Dynasty" published by Japan Art & Culture Association in 1995). A vintage Japanese 2 section Tansu chest made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. All original bronze hardware with straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nail construction. 3 drawer top section and 2 drawer bottom section. Both sections can be separated for use and display in different rooms of a home. Side handles used to carry each section from place to place with the lower section handles serving a dual purpose of also securing the top section in place.

A vintage Japanese book box called Honbako made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. 2 Hinged doors open to a storage space with a removable shelf. Below are 3 drawers where personal effects were stored. Original hardware including the Warabite handles. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery and wood dowels to hide the nail connections.
