Excavated from the Tak Burial site near, Mae Sot along the Thai/Burmese border. A Very Fine Korean Buncheong White Slip Inlaid Bowl-15th C, : Korea, Joseon dynasty, 15th century. The deep bowl on short raised ring foot with everted rim, decorated in inlaid white slip with a central medallion of floral heads and dots surrounded by a narrow band of stylized double rings and wide band of “rope curtain” design, the exterior decorated en suite beneath a pale celadon glaze. It’ in good condition but some chips to foot-rim, it measures 19 cm d. x 8 cm h.

A beautifully modeled white ware spouted ewer complete with original top. Elegant and intact, this piece measures 9-1/2" in height, with the top in place. The color is difficult to capture accurately, as there is the faintest hint of pale celadon color in the glaze. No repairs or restoration, no flaking of the glaze. This covered box was made during the 13th - 14th century, most likely at the Dehua kilns in Fujian province. Both upper and lower parts are decorated with moulded scrolling patterns.
