This item was possibly made during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). Condition - very good - no damages and no repairs. Please note - this item is heavy for its size (550gms / 20oz) and requires a solid horizontal surface to balance upright. 10cm (4 inches) high; 11.5cm (4.5 inches) long.

It was rarely found that the under cover at the bottom was original when tickling sound was heard inside the hollow base. sold thank you This is dangawari katazome & tsutsugaki cotton katsugi kimono of the Edo era(1770-1799). The 18th century. The form size of the collar of this katsugi kimono has a characteristic of the 18th century. This katsugi kimono is rare, and I recommend it to collection of you. It is indigo dyeing and green of very beautiful nature. It is a plum and a family crest of a hemp leaf and the motif of the flowering fern. There are dyeing spots, but there is not the damage, and the state is very good.

This item was made during late 16th / early 17th Century, probably during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). Condition - very good - there a chip to a petal of the flower at centre of enlargement 7 - no further damages and no restoration. 10cm (3.9 inches) across.
