Around the body, twelve repoussé and hand-chiseled Persian-style medallions amidst trailing tendrils decorate the body; the bases are decorated with roundels containing a large sword kris and scabbard among foliage.

$1,000.00 A rare antique, Thai mother-of-pearl inlaid black lac footed cup, or pedestal bowl, Thailand, 18th or early 19th century. The cup of rounded polygonal form with thin sides rising from a decagonal splaying foot, the exterior extremely finely inlaid with various typically Thai designs and motifs in mother-of-pearl against a black lac ground. The interior is decorated with a plain cinnabar-red lacquer.
This type of footed cups usually were used to hold offering on a home Buddhist altar.... Japanese cylindrical blue and white porcelain brushpot in three-section bamboo form decorated at the center with birds in flight among tree tops. The top section is covered in a key fret pattern and the bottom section with a myriad of small white circular medallions containing foliage set against a blue ground. A band of scrolling foliate decorates the flat interior rim, which is dressed brown. The base bears a Chinese Daoguang 2 (1822) mark and the honorary mark of a legendary Japanese potte...

Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. STOLEN Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty blue and white porcelain snuff bottle featuring an elaborate hunting scene which includes animals such as wild boar, birds, deer, and a rabbit. Hunters are depicted on foot and riding horseback while shooting bows and arrows. In very good antique condition, no cracks, no hairlines. There are some minor abrasions or loss of glaze at around the rim which may have happened during firing. Height about 3 inches high.
