Japanese antique single section isho tansu (storage chest for clothing), made with all keyaki (elm) wood on drawer fronts, the sides and top are sugi (cryptomeria) wood and lacquered a deep reddish brown, nice iron hardware with warabite shaped drawer pulls, seven drawers of various sizes, Meiji Period. Size: 33 1/4" high x 35 1/2" wide x 17 1/2" deep.

The design of butterflies and melons is seldom encountered on Chinese porcelain, found only on a few Qianlong pieces. This shaped dish I feel is from the early 19th century but the ‘orange peel’ surface of the porcelain is often found on Qianlong export pieces. Like the Qianlong painted melons these have a pronounced ‘spotting’ in either famille rose or gold enamel on the fruits.

Original Japanese kabuki actor color woodblock print by artist Toyohara Kunichika, 1835 – 1900. Beautifully framed and matted measuring 17" x 22", the print site size is 9.75" x 13.5". Any streaking is reflection from the glass. Print does not appear to have any condition issues.

A very attractive QING blue and white porcelain plate with underglaze blue fish center medallion surrounded by 4 additional fish. Base has double circle and 4 character mark in center. Condition is good with two tiny inconsequential fritts and one small chip on rim. Size 5" diameter H. 3/4"

Two antique Chinese famille rose porcelain bowls, both bowls have 'Guangxu' mark on the bases and of the period. Size; Diameter of larger bowl is 5 inches and diameter of smaller bowl is 4 1/4 inches. Smooth and serene Marble Shakyamuni Buddha subduing Mara. Robe and base are brown with some fine details and gilding. The head of the Buddha is covered with a multitude of small pointed hairlocks called "Shwebo-thorns" on top of which is the stupa shaped flame. The Buddha is clad in a nice robe showing overlapping folds and decorated bands, which also cover the right shoulder and left arm.
