SOLD Beautiful antique Japanese Saki Ori vest made out of cotton reinforced with hemp stitching. Areas of indigo with red stitching have an effect to appear purple. Sashiko-stitched inset in the shoulder traditionally added to strengthen this part of the garment. Trim and hems are in flat indigo cotton. This type of vest was intended to be used in the mountains, for cutting and carrying wood for household use for charcoal. Great Wall piece!
