This is a very elegant and high quality Japanese silk obi from Nishijin, Kyoto. The dimensions of the obi are 12 1/4" wide and 160 3/4" (13'4 3/4") long. About two-thirds of the front (104" long) is woven with gold. There are 2 full designs of an ox-cart with pine branches in the center area – only one of them is shown in the first photo – the other one is on the other side.

Antique Chinese skirt with green velvet panels embroidered with images of flowers and bats. It is very unusual to find these skirts with velvet panels. Measuring 39 inches long, it is in good used condition. There is some staining (water marks?)on silk areas, embroidered velvet panels in very good condition with the exception of one tear about 3" that can be easily repaired. Wear at hem border ribbon.

A very finely carved hardwood ox or buffalo, surmounted by a young boy, on original stand, probably made for export during the second half of the 19th Century circa 1850-1900 . Condition - excellent - one glass eye of the boy is missing but, unusually, there is no damage at all to the sculpture and there has been no restoration. The Ox - 30cm (11.8 inches) long; 15.5cm (6 inches)high. The stand 36.5cm (14.4 inches)long;19cm (7.5 inches) wide;4.5cm (1.75 inches)high.

Beautifully finished antique chinese two section medicine chest from the 19th century, circa 1900. There are 24 small drawers. The drawers each have two sections and are numbered on the back. There are two large drawers that are divided into three sections. They are fitted with round brass drawers pulls. The front is faced with jumu wood. It measures 37" wide 66" tall 18.75" deep.
